PAC Script Lab
ScreenWest and PAC Screen Workshops are pleased to present PAC Script Lab, bi-monthly rehearsed readings of Western Australian feature film scripts.

“To be able to see my story presented for an audience was extraordinarily confidence building as well as instructive from a narrative viewpoint.” [Adrian McFarlane, writer/director]

Over the years, this has proven a tremendously valuable exercise for writers.  Many of the scripts have gone on to further development funding, are in production and our very first reading “Elise” completed shooting last year with Natalie Imbruglia in the lead role! Also another Indigneous comedy "To Hell & Back" has completed filming.

“To date, I have had two scripts read and each time the written feedback, verbal comments and discussions on the night have greatly assisted in gaining an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the script. This information has really helped with the rewriting process - everything from pacing, dialogue, structure, gauging the audience response to story and characters to getting the actors’ perspective during rehearsal and after the reading itself.” [Richard Hyde, writer]

Writers wishing to submit their scripts for consideration for a PAC Script Lab reading can email a one page synopsis plus the first 10 pages of dialogue to pac@screenworkshop.com.au.
