PAC Movement Class - Feldenkrais Method
The Feldenkrais Method  is an integral part of the movement training of actors/singers/dancers at NIDA, WAAPA, and VCA. Why? Because it makes them AWARE of their  bodies, opens them to the bodies potential, and the minds potential to affect the body. There are two components of the Feldenkrais Method, Functional Integration, a one-on-one process and  ‘Awareness through Movement’  classes (which is what we are interested in) where a group of people are guided through a series of movements which hopefully effects change at the end of the class. The movements are done within each persons comfortable range-if there s pain ,theres NO gain.In fact the less you do to begin with the betterThe classes are about 45 mins long ,and are  suitable for all ages, sizes, and sexes. All you need is a mat(or blanket) a towel and loose clothing. For more on the Feldenkrais Method just Google ‘Feldenkrais,’ and to see it in action go to Youtube. But the best way is to experience it!
